The main purpose of this blog is to share with you some simple healthy recipes that I enjoy, with some nutrition tips scattered in. I often get asked about recipes, so I thought this would be a great way to compile them for friends and family, and as a reference for clients. This past year I was featured as the Buffalo News’ September 2012 “Cook of the Month,” and was so excited to share some recipes there!
I’ve titled this blog “apple butter harmony” to symbolize the value of moderation in a healthy diet. An apple alone could be seen as “healthy” and butter alone could be seen as “unhealthy”, but the two words together make a delicious fall snack to spread on toast!
What is symbolized here is the importance of not seeing foods as “good” or “bad,” but seeing that moderation is what is important.
